A big climb to the Beylesse domain. 30 years ago, the horse disappeared from the cultural practices of the estate. . . . Today, this technique is making a comeback. The workhorse makes it possible to work the soil of the vines where it is not possible by machine. Some farmers specialize in this activity and offer services with their horses. Christian Bouvier and Lola, his 11-year-old Percheron, came on Friday April 23, 2010. They were chosen to reintroduce this farming method to the estate, in one of the plots of the "La Beylesse" Cru. This parcel of vines planted in 1936 will give birth in 2011 to a new cuvée exclusively worked by hand and on horseback.
