Viognier Eglantier Ardèche

Tasting:

A beautiful bright straw yellow color. The nose is rich in fruit and flowers with a dominant of pear and apricot. A fresh and greedy mouth with a final on the liveliness.

Vinification:

The vineyard is located in southern Ardèche, in the municipalities of Valvignères, Montfleury and Vogüé.
The plots are carefully selected on clay-limestone soils and granite sandstone on hillsides and terraces on soils with low yields. The grapes are picked when ripe, during the coolest hours to preserve their liveliness. After gentle pressing, the wines are aged 50% on lees in vats and 50% in oak barrels for 12 months.

History :

Le Mas du Paradis was the wine estate of Alban Pivat's great-uncle, Pierre Bonnard, who lived on Chemin du
Paradis at Petite Gorge, a hamlet located south of Chavanay, on the edge of the old National 86 and feet of hillsides and vineyards. It was through these meetings that Alban acquired several vines which now constitute his 4-hectare estate.
